Hi!!! For those of you who don't know us, I am Marc Lecorre along with my beautiful wife Elly Lecorre. Just a little bit of background about us. We have just celebrated our two year wedding anniversary. We met online 4 years ago in June 1999. Elly is originally from Melbourne Australia and we now live in Ottawa Canada. We are proud Bahai's. There is a link to a Bahai web site on the Links page for those of you who want to know more about our religion.
Here is a quick summary of our love stoy. When I first talked to Elly online, I had no idea she would become my wife. I was actually on a week off from work during that summer, all my friends were working and I had nothing to do. I was quite impressed with Elly's sense of humour once I started talking to her and I could not stop. A few months down the road we had our first phone call. At this point I heard Elly's voice which confirmed I had indeed been chatting to a girl all this time (whew thank God she wasn't a fifty year old man!!!). The next thing I know I'm on a plane to Australia for the Millenium New Years Eve Bash. When I arrived at the Sydney airport to meet Elly face to face for the first time, my heart was beating very fast with excitement. Once I laid my eyes on her it was love at first site. From that moment we never looked back and we knew that some day we would get married.
I (Marc) was born and raised in Orleans ,Ontario. I completed my high school education at the french Louis Riel High School, I have recently graduated from the university of Ottawa with a double degrees in common law and civil Law. I really enjoy playing the persian card game Roake or other wise known by some people as Shelem. I am also a champion chess player, and I am also an amateur tennis, basketball and football player. I am also a die hard fan of the Wheel of Times fantasy series written by Robert Jordan.
I have recently discovered the Baha'i faith through my beloved wife Elly. I devote many hours of week to important Baha'i activities and much needed spirtural education not only for myself but the future generation of Baha'i children.
Elly was born in Shiraz, Iran. At the age of 13 she moved away from Iran and settled with her parents in Ipswich Australia. She completed a degree in Social Work, her passion since childhood. She moved once again in 2001 to settle in her third home with her beloved husband Marc and believe it or not has survived the Canadian winter for two years now.
